Snow Sports

After the quiet but highly successful year for QMU Snow, this year we’re hoping to get a bigger and better club out there in the Scottish and British Uni scene. With some big sponsors already lined up, and the Xmas Inter-semmester holiday booked up, this year is going to be messy.

For those beginners out there, we’re hoping to be able to subsidise lessons to make it cheaper, because everyone knows snowsports isn’t the cheapest sport to get into.

For those who are interested in competing, we will be riding in the Scottish and British Dryslope championships at our very own Hillend, the British Indoor Champs in Glasgow and Leeds, and the BUSC Main event in France!!!! With two podium finishes in freestyle at BUDS and SUDS, and a 4th at BUISC, we’r hoping to do even better this year!

And for those who just want a piss up with the best crowd on a night out, we will be organising our own hefty nights out, with additional events with other Snow Clubs around Scotland.

If all goes to plan, we will be riding once a week at a Scottish dryslope, once a month at X-Scape Braehead, with weekly drinks starting at the Union or in town, and finishing up in a club!

So, if you want to be part of the biggest University sports scene, play your part in some of the biggest nights out, and ride along some of the best riders you will see around, gimme a holler. These are your university years, so make the most of them!!!
