Welcome to the Monarchs Gaming Society! 

 

The QMU Gaming Society, also known as Monarchs Esports, is the premier student group for all things gaming. We engage in both competitive and casual gaming content, and even dip our toes into peripheral hobbies such as table-top games, movies, comics, anime and pop culture. We love having casual game nights, movie nights and just hanging out talking about nerdy things! Our society is also dedicated to helping members form teams of their own to compete and represent the university in student-level professional esports. 

 

We at Monarchs Esports organise events and socials, such as livestreams, game nights, in-house competitions, and esports viewing parties for our members to be a part of and enjoy. Our society has worked closely with organisations like Curry's PC World, Lenovo and Discord, to provide our members with free equipment and merch at our events. We have also helped raise money for LGBT Youth Scotland through a charity livestream and hope to host many more events like this in the future. 

 

Our members range from hardcore competitive players to chill and comfy casual gamers. We have streamers, table-top gamers, artists, musicians, you name it. More than that, we are a warm and welcoming community. You do not have to have competitive aspirations to join the gaming society; we welcome everyone with an interest in games and nerd culture. Some of the games we play, but not limited to:

Our society is also always taking recommendations for new games and activities so feel free to share your favorite!

• Engage with the committee members regularly and check/respond to their messages
• Bullying of any form will not be tolerated, and will result in removal from the team/society
• Be respectful of your fellow members and members of other teams and societies
• Adhere to the conditions set in the QMUSU Code of Conduct

TO BUY MEMBERSHIP FOR THIS SOCIETY YOU MUST BUY LOW S & S AFFILIATION FIRST, UNLESS YOU HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED MEDIUM OR HIGH AFFILIATION.
